HeartYoga has a unique take on vinyasa which allows students to flow at their own pace within ever-changing “take it, leave it, or modify it” sequences structured by our passionate teachers.
If you’re ready to try something new, HeartYoga will take your practice to a deeper level.
Come learn to meditate or deepen your practice. We use a simple yet very powerful mindfulness technique and meditate for a full hour.
Make sure to have a cushion to sit on as you will be more comfortable.
Also note, we cannot accommodate late students. The doors will be locked at the studio, or you will be stuck in the Zoom waiting room if you come after the beginning of class.
This class is offered at no charge 12pm CST Mon-Fri. and 8am on Saturday. Everyone is welcome.

Each day on your mat is a beautiful opportunity to pour your heart into your practice whether it is your first day in yoga or your 5,000th practice. Although our classes can be physically demanding, HeartYoga is a safe space to be as you are. All of our classes are breathing classes first; everything else is secondary. All are welcome!
Follow the Yogi
Set in a quiet, hot room, Follow the Yogi is a series of powerful, ancient postures based on the Ashtanga yoga system that support strength and vibrancy within. This is a chance to practice along with your teacher and create a communal yoga spirit. Keep in mind instruction is minimal and this class is not appropriate for first-time yoga students.
Hot Vinyasa is an invigorating class of flowing postures to inspiring, upbeat music. If you are looking to go beyond the ordinary and light your fire, this class is for you! You will get HOT!
Deep Vinyasa is a slower sequence that encourages moving inward. Through feeling postures with the eyes closed, we explore the healing connection between mind and body. This is a warm/hot class.
Yin Yoga is a meditative class where postures are held for 5-10 minutes in a warm room. This creates a profound release of the body’s connective tissue—like deep calming bodywork. It’s a wonderful practice for those seeking peace and inner quiet.
For those who wish to learn to meditate or deepen their current practice. The teacher begins the hour with some simple instructions and may offer more guidance throughout the hour depending on the students’ level of experience. Students should bring their own meditation cushion as props are very limited. This is free class open to the community.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Short-Form
The Short-Form is an adaptation of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in a hot room. In this class you have time to breath into postures – we often hold them for 5 breaths. This develops an intuitive understanding of how your body can embrace these ancient shapes. This is a great class for first-time students.
Jason has been teaching yoga since 1998 and has seen it help thousands of people change their lives for the better. Originally self-taught, he found his teacher, Jonny Kest, in the year 2000. After 16 years of working closely with his teacher at the Center for Yoga in Michigan and Life Time Fitness on a national level, he branched out and founded HeartYoga in 2016. If you want to feel enlightened and empowered and are willing to work to get it, you will find something in his teaching that nourishes your spirit. Come share your love!
Since first discovering the free flowing style of hot vinyasa 6 years ago, Eda has barely missed a daily yoga practice. Though she never intended to teach yoga, after completing her 300 hour yoga teacher training with Jason, the knowledge she gained was too good not to share. Yoga has taught her how to be a devoted student of the practice and a teacher with the desire to craft experiences that lead her students on a path towards self acceptance. Eda believes in the power of community and tries to create a sense of belonging, hope, trust, love and freedom for all her students. She’s been a student of HeartYoga since day one and can’t wait to share her love of the studio with you!
To Lejla, yoga is personal. It is a grounding and liberating practice that gives the practitioner an insight to their truest self.
She believes that we all have gifts that can change the world that can be unlocked through yoga.
Being a busy college student and an active creative person on a mission; yoga is how she ties everything together and stays grounded. She is continuously moved and transformed by the benefits her own personal practice and wants to share the same gift with the world.
Yoga provided the resilience and courage necessary for Kate to shatter the limiting beliefs she held about herself. By exploring the instinctual desire to move freely and making challenge a conscious effort in the practice, yoga took Kate to a new realm of freedom in both body and mind. It’s her desire to get you there too.
Yoga helps Alexia to constantly evolve & flow with life as it comes. This practice has instilled dedication, determination, patience, & confidence in her, and these qualities have only continued to grow as she has started to teach. Alexia strives to help you unlock the powerful qualities you hold within yourself with perseverance and grace.
Yoga has been a part of Dereck’s life for the past 6 years, and it all started at HeartYoga! Yoga has taught Dereck the tools to approach life in a profound way. It’s given him a more compassionate, authentic, healthy, truthful, balanced, grounded and open way of living. He is passionate about sharing that gift with others. He has done over 700 hours of yoga teacher training and is working on his 2nd 300-hour YTT right now!
Dereck approaches his classes in a welcoming and loving way with open arms. They are a safe space for all. His classes are upbeat, inspiring, fun, encouraging, motivating, empowering, dynamic and challenging. Having an extensive background in dance, Dereck brings a sense of artistry, creativity fluidity, and playfulness to his teaching giving you the space to tap into a transient like state of flow and being. Brent has been an enthusiastic yoga practitioner for 3 years, all the while believing that yoga is not the answer, but simply one key to a doorway. A doorway that leads to clarity, liberty, and genuine peace.
Brent is an adventurous fellow who includes yoga to help in other endeavors such as climbing, snowboarding, and quests yet to be determined.
It only takes a few degrees to change a ship’s final destination.
